Good times

We've had such a fun few days. The kids and I showed up Tuesday night in CA for a fun break and my good friend Trisha and her kids drove in the same night so that we could play for a few days. We went to the park, the beach and it all built up to a great day at Disneyland. We had so much fun and it was such a treat to see them again. We were inseparable while we all live in DC Adam's first two years of law school, but the ditched us a year ago ;), so it was great to see them again. We've decided to make it an annual event.

Trisha's oldest, Naomi, is a super active and brave girl. Abby has always been a little more cautious, even though she is almost a year older than Abby, so it was fun to see her encourage Abby, which was successful. At the beach Abby was nervous to go near the water, but Noami "held her hand", and by the end Abby was asking everyone to race her far into the water. At Disneyland I was a little nervous to take Abby on Space Mountain, as was Abby, but Naomi encouraged Abby, and Trisha encourage me, and I was on pins and needles the entire ride. When the ride ended I was holding my breath until Abby screamed out, "That was awesome!!" Success, and the rest of the day went pretty smoothly. She is a huge fan of roller coasters. It was a "magical" day.
