Making Summer bonnets

Well, Abby has had a pretty fantastic birthday weekend. Her Nana showed up Wednesday night to help celebrate her birthday with us, and her Uncle Sean and Aunt Kristen came up on Friday and she got a party. She also had her dance recital today and everything has been pretty exciting. The one sad thing for the weekend was the demise of Blue Blankie and more importantly, Taggie. We have no idea what has happened to them, but they are gone, so we are trying to move on. There has been quite a bit of mourning and a sleepless night and nap so far. Hopefully Abby will be able to recover in time. But on to happier things.

For her birthday we invited a few friends over and they made spring bonnets (thanks to my wonderful, creative mother), had an easter egg hunt and played dress-up. Oh, and of course cupcakes. I really wasnt' up to make a fancy cake this year, but I have a feeling the cupcakes tasted just as good. That night Sean and Kristen showed up and we all went out to dinner. And they gave her a Disney Princess Wii game, so we spent a lot of time playing that.

The next day she had her recital and it was so adorable watching all those cute girls do their dances and they did a wonderful job. Hopefully the videos will load so that you can see some of the things she did.

All in all it was a great weekend. I can't believe my sweet baby is already 4.
